Happen to be in the paint department of the local big box store and saw these little beauties. They will fit on all cans, pint,quart, gallon all you have to do is clip them on the inner rim of the can. I tried them on a little can of of sealcoat and it works perfectly. No spilling or finishing going down the side of the can. Cost around 99 cents.

Goodrich garden tour successful despite heat

The club has only had one rainy day for a tour in 10 years but its the heat, not the rain, keeps people from attending, Adair said.

Adairs own garden was also featured on the tour this year, something that hasnt happened since the first tour.

She said the biggest hit in her garden was a sitting area made out of an old trampoline frame and draped with vines.

People are so appreciative of what youve accomplished, she said. If you find one thing in a garden tour that you like thats helpful or useful, it was worth it.

Adair said that the tour this year had more men than in years past.

Its really interesting, she said.

Perratore recommends that you undertake kitchen remodeling projects that come in at $2,000 or less. Pay attention, he says, to low-cost upgrades that can add value later when the housing market rebounds.
