The club has only had one rainy day for a tour in 10 years but its the heat, not the rain, keeps people from attending, Adair said.

Adairs own garden was also featured on the tour this year, something that hasnt happened since the first tour.

She said the biggest hit in her garden was a sitting area made out of an old trampoline frame and draped with vines.

People are so appreciative of what youve accomplished, she said. If you find one thing in a garden tour that you like thats helpful or useful, it was worth it.

Adair said that the tour this year had more men than in years past.

Its really interesting, she said. Ten years ago we didnt have a lot of men on the tour. Now we have many.

I think probably their wives were so interested in it and raved about it and thats why.

The money raised from the event will help fund gardening projects in the community in the next year, she said.

Gardenings a wonderful thing, Adair said. Its just a real source of amusement and pleasure.
