Umbrellas of all sizes add a nice touch to any outdoor patio set, but think of how you most want your umbrella to function for you before choosing one that might be too small or too limited in the positions in which it can be placed.

Styles, Types and Sizes Abound

There are so many great choices, you might as well choose the patio umbrella that you can enjoy and use for several years before having to purchase a new one.

A cantilever umbrella, for instance, does not fit into a hole in the center of your patio table, instead it has an arm which allows you to set the base anywhere you choose and place the umbrella on any area as well.

Another consideration is size. Unless you want to be totally disappointed, be sure the size of the umbrella you choose matches the size of the table and chairs that you will be using with it. Otherwise some people will get sprinkled upon when the afternoon shower passes by or they will be left out in the hot sun on the sunnier days.
