Tell our audience what you like most about being a home inspector. “What I like most about being a home inspector is seeing every imaginable type of home and meeting just as wide an array of people!”
What do you do when not working for US Inspect? “My time is usually filled with projects at home and quality time with my family.”
Who inspires you most in your life? “My family inspires me first. My friends, as well as some folks I’ve met through the home inspection business, also provide inspiration in my life.”
Do you have a favorite quote? My favorite quote, which incidentally gives me constant inspiration, is “Love what you do and you will never work a day in your life.” It’s how I approach the work I do.”
What type of music interests you? “I like many different types of music depending on what I’m doing or who I’m with. Music can be very therapeutic.”
Tell us your favorite activities. “I truly enjoy being outdoors. Yard work, golf, fishing, walking, cycling……. If it’s outdoors, it’s all good!”
Anything else you’d like our readers to know about Tom Short? “I feel very fortunate to have been associated with a great company like U.S. Inspect for so long. I began my inspection career in March of 1993 after more than twenty years in construction related trades. I became an employee of U.S. Inspect in September of 1997 and find enjoyment every day in what I do. I have a fantastic family that keeps me stimulated and entertained.”
Tom Short has received the prestigious Chairman’s Award the last five years, and is well on his way to achieving it again this year! The annual award honors the top inspectors at U.S. Inspect who have generated the highest residential revenue or performed the greatest number of inspections.
